Jayne & Vicki are widely regarded as an experienced and passionate leaders within the charity retail sector. They help charity shops and other nonprofits (including museums and galleries) develop their retail operation, improve their product offer and people, and improve their profitability.
We understand the challenges that charity retailers face. For the first 20 years of her career, Jayne came up through the ranks working for charities in retail roles – from shop manager, operations manager and eventually to executive retail director. Vicki had a similar path, starting as a volunteer and working at all levels up to Director of Income Generation for small and large charities. Since launching the consultancy in 2010, we have supported more than 50 charities.
The Charity Retail Consultancy supports charities to tackle difficult challenges by applying clear thinking and bold plans to drive their business forward. Recent projects include creating retail strategies and feasibility studies, improving productivity, process development and central operations, team building, and redesigning store layouts. Owner and founder, Jayne Cartwright is a hugely experienced and successful charity retail leader, delivering strong, sustainable and innovative results. These results inspired 14 retail and business leaders to unanimously vote her Woman of the Year at the 2011 Specsavers everywoman in Retail Awards, a first for a charity leader.
Joining Jayne at the Consultancy more recently is Vicki Burnett, a key player in the sector for the past 30 years. Under her leadership, the retail chains she has developed have won numerous awards and delivered millions of pounds of profit to their charities.
