Our training arm, The Charity Retail Academy™ provides first class, sector specific training, covering all you need to make your team stand out from the crowd.

Developed and delivered by experts in their field, we offer training in a range of subjects and formats, from short videos to live webinars, online learning to one to one coaching.  Each online course has quizzes and exercises to check understanding and everyone who logs in has their own unique code, making it simple to track each individual’s learning. 

 The Charity Retail Academy site gives simple to access courses in all areas of charity retail, aimed at a full range of roles, from volunteers and shop staff to Heads of Retail, Volunteering Managers and beyond.  

Current courses include Volunteering, Wellbeing, Charity Shop history and we are currently working on  Visual Merchandising, Health & Safety, eCommerce,  Managing Retail Teams, Operational Skills and much more. All our courses are designed and delivered especially for the Academy, so you know charity retail will always be at the forefront of every session.

All our students have access to an Academy Facebook Group where they will be able to find help, support and access to a network of similar minded charity retailers to share ideas and best practice.

We are working hard to keep costs low to make the courses as accessible as possible to the whole range of charity retailers – whether you have one shop or hundreds, we can provide the right course for you and your team.

The Charity Retail Consultancy ran 2 training days for the shop managers on recruiting and retaining volunteers, and understanding and acquiring donated stock needs. The courses not only improved the team’s knowledge on these critical areas, but they provided brilliant tools that could be implemented locally.
